Our Annual Show celebrates antique farming equipment and rural life through tractor parades, games, live music, and demonstrations.

About This Year’s Event

Get ready for a one-of-a-kind experience at this year’s Root River Antique Historical Power Association event! As an organization dedicated to preserving history in the agricultural community and antique tractors/automobiles, we are proud to host an annual event that acknowledges the unique history of antique farming/agriculture equipment.

With a packed schedule of events and demonstrations that showcase the ingenuity and hard work of our forefathers, this year’s event promises to be even more exciting than ever before. From the opening ceremony on Friday morning to the car judging awards on Sunday afternoon, there will be something for everyone to enjoy.

Visitors can start their day with a delicious breakfast of pancakes and sausages or biscuits and gravy before taking in the sights and sounds of the tractor parade. Throughout the weekend, the pulling track will host games for people of all ages, including the popular Kid Power Pedal Tractor Pull sponsored by Podein’s Power Equipment.

In addition to the tractor pull, visitors can witness horse pulling by the MN Horse Pullers Association and demonstrations of traditional crafts like Rosemaling, Spinning, Tatting, Butter Churning, Rug Weaving, Crocheting, Norwegian Lefse on a wood-burning stove, Shelling Corn, Corn Shredding, Threshing, Rock Crushing, Saw Mill, Blacksmith Shop, Candle Making and more.

Live music by Gary Froiland and performances by Sisters & Company will keep visitors entertained throughout the weekend. And don’t forget to check out the antique/classic tractor pull sponsored by Midwest Machinery Co, Marzolf Implement, and Hyland Motor Co.

Join us for a weekend filled with history, tradition, and fun at the Root River Antique Historical Power Association event. We can’t wait to see you there!
